Side Effects
Telmisartan (Micardis) may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
back pain
diarrhea
difficulty breathing or swallowing
fainting
hoarseness
runny nose
sinus pain
sore throat
swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
Telmisartan (Micardis) may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.

Drug Interaction
blood pressure medications
digoxin
hawthorn
lithium
potassium salts
potassium supplements
warfarin
water pills (potassium-sparing diuretics like triamterene or amiloride)
Tell your prescriber or health care professional about all other medicines you are taking, including nonprescription medicines, nutritional supplements, or herbal products.
Also tell your prescriber or health care professional if you are a frequent user of drinks with caffeine or alcohol, if you smoke, or if you use illegal drugs.

Over Dose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Notes
Do not take Telmisartan (Micardis) if you are pregnant. If you become pregnant while taking Telmisartan (Micardis), call your doctor immediately. Telmisartan (Micardis) may harm the fetus.

Missed Dose
Do not take double or extra doses to mae up for a missed dose.

Storage
Store your medicine at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C / 59 and 86 degrees F.
