Take Furosemide (Lasix) exactly as directed.

Side Effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
Blood in urine/stool
Cramps
Diarrhoea
Dry mouth/fever/chills/sore throat
Headache
Hearing loss
Increased sensitivity to the sun
Increased thirst
Irregular heartbeat
Loss of appetite
Lower back pain
Mood changes
Nausea
Ringing in the ears/ dizziness/light-headedness
Severe stomach pain/stomach upset/pain
Side pain/ muscle pain
Skin rash
Tingling/numbness in the hands or feet
Tiredness
Unusual bleeding/bruising
Vomiting
Weakness
Yellowing of the eyes/skin

Drug Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
Alcohol
Certain antibiotic injections
Cholestyramine
Cisplatin
Clofibrate
Colestipol
Diabetes medication
Dofetilide
Heart medication
High blood pressure medication
Hormones
Lithium
Medication used to relax muscles for surgery
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors
Nitroglycerin
NSAIDs
Phenytoin
Water pills
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Over Dose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
Keep all appointments with your doctor and all follow up tests.
Whilst on a course with Furosemide (Lasix) medication your skin may become more sensitive to the sun/ultraviolet rays.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
If you conceive whilst on a course with Furosemide (Lasix) inform your doctor immediately.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking Furosemide (Lasix).
Do not treat yourself with any OTC medication without consulting your health care professional.
If you are suffering from diabetes Furosemide (Lasix) could affect your blood sugar levels.

Missed Dose
Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Uses
Furosemide (Lasix) controls high blood pressure but does not cure it.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 15-30 degrees C / 59-86 degrees F, away from heat and moisture.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :
Diabetes
Diarrhoea
Difficulty passing urine
Gout
Hearing difficulty
Heart disease/previous heart attack
Kidney disease
Liver disease
Low blood levels of calcium/chloride/potassium/magnesium/sodium
Pancreatitis
Premature birth
Systemic lupus erythematosus
