How to use
Contact a pediatrician for the use of this medication in children.
Acitretin Capsule is to be taken orally, with your main meal.
Consult your doctor for exact dosages and take accordingly.

Side Effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Diabetic Ketoacidosis
Extreme Hunger/Thirst
Hair Loss
Hot flushes
Hyper/Hypoglacemia (even if you are not diabetic)
Irritability
Joint Pains
Nervousness
Nosebleeds
Peeling/Dry/Itchy/Flaky/Sticky/Infected Skin
Sinus
Sleeping Problems
Speech Difficulty
Weakness

Drug Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
Etritinate
Glyburide
Isotretinoin
Methotrexate
Oral Retnoids
Phenytoin
Tetracycline Antibotics
Tretinoin
Vitamin A
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Over Dose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
Do not donate blood for at least 3 years after you stop this medication and also whilst you are taking Acitretin(Soriatane).
Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had any liver disease, as this medication may cause damage to the liver.
If you notice yellowing of the skin/eyes, energy loss, appetite loss, upset stomach, unusual bleeding/bruising, flu like symptoms, pain in the upper right hand area of the stomach; contact your doctor immediately.
Women : Do not take Acitretin(Soriatane) medication if pregnant or planning to concieve in the next 3 years.
This medication may harm the fetus.
Do not take any medication or any kind of food and drink that contain alcohol.
Acitretin(Soriatane) medication combined with alcohol remains in your blood for a long time.
Consult your doctor about your diet. If you think you have concieved whilst on a course of treatment with Acitretin(Soriatane) inform your doctor immediately.
Consult your doctor on what forms of contraception to use at this time.
Inform your doctor about any and all medications that you are taking in any form.
Men : Acitretin(Soriatane) medication in a small amount may be present in the sperm.
Ask you doctor if this may be harmful to your partner, especially if they are pregnant or planning to concieve.

Missed Dose
Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Uses
Acitretin(Soriatane) is used to treat severe psoriasis and other skin conditions in adults.

Storage
Store at room temperature away from heat and moisture.

Precaution
Do not breast feed whilst taking this medicine or immediately after you have stopped this medication. Consult your doctor.
Acitretin(Soriatane) may cause slow growth in children and/or bone problems.
Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :
Depression
Diabetes
High cholesterol/triglycerides
Stroke (mini stroke)
Spinal problems
Acitretin(Soriatane) medication may affect your vision at night. Be careful whilst driving at night.
If you need phototherapy inform your doctor that you are taking Acitretin(Soriatane).
If you wear contact lens, this medication may cause dryness in the eyes. If it occurs, remove your lens and contact your doctor.
