Amantadine(Symmetrel) is an antiviral.

Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

Maybe taken with or without food.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Benztropine
Depression Medication
Hydrochlorothiazide with triamterene
Parkinson's Medication
Stomach disorder Medication/Stimulants
Vitamins

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Amantadine(Symmetrel) medication may harm the fetus.

If you become pregnant whilst taking this medication contact your doctor immediately.

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Amantadine(Symmetrel) is used to prevent or treat certain influenza (flu) infections (type A).

Consult your doctor for more information on the same.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C / 59 and 86 degrees F.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :

epilepsy
seizures/convulsions
heart/kidney/liver disorders
mental illness
blood pressure
skin rashes

Do not breast feed whilst on a course with this medication.
