How to use
Escitalopram (Lexapro) comes as a tablet to take by mouth, usually taken once a day with or without food.
Take Escitalopram (Lexapro) exactly as directed.

Side Effects
Escitalopram (Lexapro) may cause side effects. Some side effects can be serious. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
changes in sex drive or ability
constipation
diarrhea
difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
dizziness
drowsiness
dry mouth
excessive tiredness
flu-like symptoms
hallucinating
heartburn
increased appetite
increased sweating
runny nose
sneezing
stomach pain
unusual excitement
upset stomach
Escitalopram (Lexapro) may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication

Drug Interaction
Talk to your doctor before taking any medicine for :
Arthritis
Fever
Pain
Swelling
This includes aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, indomethacin, piroxicam, nabumetone, etodolac. Taking any of these drugs with Escitalopram (Lexapro) may cause you to bruise or bleed easily.
Before taking Escitalopram (Lexapro), tell your doctor if you are using any of the following medicines:
any other antidepressants
carbamazepine
cimetidine
lithium
warfarin
There may be other drugs not listed that can affect Escitalopram (Lexapro). Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.

Over Dose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.
Symptoms of overdose may include:
dizziness
sweating
upset stomach
vomiting
tremor
drowsiness
fast or pounding heartbeat
seizures
confusion
forgetfulness
fast breathing
coma
