Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) is an antiepileptic.

How to use
Take exactly as directed. This medicine is to be swallowed whole with a glass of water and maybe taken with or without food.
Consult a paediatrician for the use of Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) medicine in children.

Side Effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
Abnormal walking/co-ordination
Diarrhea
Headache
Nausea
Palpitations
Rash
Seizures
Sleeping Difficulties
Tremors
Unexplained tiredness/bruising/bleeding
Vision Problems

Drug Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.
Alcohol
Birth control pills/injections/patches/implants
Carbamazepine
Felodipine
Female Hormones
Fosphenytoin
Lamotrigine
Phenobarbital
Phenytoin
Primidone
Sevelamer
Valproic acid
Verapamil
Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Over Dose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had Kidney Disease(s)/Alcohol abuse problem.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
If you conceive whilst on a course with Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) inform your doctor immediately.
Birth control may not work effectively whilst on a course with Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal).

Missed Dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Uses
Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) is used to treat certain types of epileptic seizures.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C, away from heat and moisture.

Precaution
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal).

and contact details for the same.
