How to use
Take Memantine(Namenda) exactly as directed.
Swallow whole with a glass of water.
This medicine may be taken with or without food.
Consult your doctor if you need to follow any special diet whilst taking Memantine(Namenda).

Side Effects
If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
Agitation
Constipation
Coughing
Dizziness/Confusion
Extreme Tiredness
Hallucinations
Headache
Localized Pain, especially your back
Shortness of breath
Skin Rash
Sleepiness
Vomiting

Drug Interaction
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Over Dose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Notes
Consult a pediatrician for the use of Memantine(Namenda) in children.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to concieve.
If you concieve whilst on a course with Memantine(Namenda), inform your doctor immediately.

Missed Dose
Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Uses
Memantine(Namenda) is used to Alzhiemers' symptoms, by reducing abnormal excitement in the brain.
Memantine(Namenda) is not a cure and this medicine does not stop the progression of the disease.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 15-30 degrees C, away from heat and moisture.

Precaution
Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :
Asthma
Kidney Disease
Seizures
Urinary Tract Infections (frequent)
Inform your doctor if you smoke, as smoking may decrease the effectiveness of this medication.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking Memantine(Namenda).
