Description
FLUTICASONE (Flonase) medicine is a corticosteroid nasal spray.

How to use
DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you are taking HIV protease inhibitors (such as ritonavir).
DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Use of this medicine in children under age 4 is not recommended. Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of giving FLUTICASONE (Flonase) to your child.
Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.

Side Effects
Side effects that may occur while using FLUTICASONE (Flonase) medicine include :
a runny, or stuffy nose
nasal irritation or burning
headache
nausea
vomiting
changes or loss of your sense of taste or smell.
If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience blurred vision or unusual vision changes.
An allergic reaction to FLUTICASONE (Flonase) is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

Over Dose
IF OVERDOSE IS SUSPECTED, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Notes
If your symptoms do not improve with regular use of FLUTICASONE (Flonase) medicine or if they become worse, check with your doctor.
ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE INHALER available in case the unit malfunctions or is empty.

Missed Dose
IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. DO NOT use 2 doses at once.

Storage
STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from heat and light.

Precaution
Do not take FLUTICASONE (Flonase) if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product.
Do not stop using FLUTICASONE (Flonase) medicine without checking with your doctor.
BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using FLUTICASONE (Flonase).
BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD CHICKENPOX OR MEASLES, avoid contact with anyone who has any of these diseases.
CORTICOSTEROID MEDICINES MAY AFFECT growth rate in children and adolescents in some instances. Your childs growth should be checked regularly by the doctor while using this medicine.
FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using FLUTICASONE (Flonase) during pregnancy.
IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using FLUTICASONE (Flonase), check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
